On the Little Red River
The Little Red is a cold tailwater below Greers Ferry Dam, stocked with rainbow trout and home to big browns. It produced the former world-record brown trout, a 40-pound, 4-ounce fish caught in 1992.
Bring your waders, your fly rod, your kayak or canoe, or just a lawn chair. The Little Red is a beautiful river to paddle, with clear, cool water and wooded bluffs. Mornings here start with fog on the water, and evenings end around the fire.
Water levels change with dam generation. Check the Greers Ferry generation schedule before you wade.
What's coming
Building the campground, one phase at a time
The four riverview sites are just the start. Our plans for the full campground include more RV sites, cabins, yurts, a bathhouse and laundry, a pavilion with an outdoor kitchen and fish-cleaning station, a primitive tent area and an open field for family amenities.
